  • Celebration of Portugal’s Day of Freedom

    Join us on Saturday, April 25, 2026, for a celebration of Country, Community, and Caldo Verde @ BYU, in Provo, Utah

    On April 25, 1974, ordinary Portuguese citizens placed red carnations into the barrels of soldiers' rifles and changed the course of history forever. Fifty-two years later, that spirit of freedom, unity, and hope lives on — and we invite you to celebrate it with us.

    The Honorary Consulate of Portugal in Utah and the Portuguese Heritage Alliance of Utah warmly welcome you to our 25 de Abril Celebration — A Revolução dos Cravos, an afternoon of snacks, music, community, and remembrance.
